Standard filling material gives way. It compresses, flattens out, and no longer provides support. You can often spot a warning sign in advance: if a supplier advertises that the entire bed, including the filling, is washable, the filling material can hardly be genuine orthopedic memory foam — memory foam flakes lose their elasticity and thus their supportive effect when washed. That is why, with Kingston, only the cover is removable and washable, not the filling itself. The outer fabric must therefore be breathable and of significantly higher quality — more complex to manufacture, but the only way for the flakes to retain their effect permanently.
